Workshop on Re-sequencing in Populus
From Sunday 15 March 2009
To Monday 16 March 2009
Contact Gail Taylor and Michele Morgante

One-day workshop to determine future strategy for re-sequencing in Populus

The main objective of this meeting was to bring together those working on Populus nigra from three con-current projects - EVOLTEE, ENERGYPOPLAR and NOVELTREE - and to agree a strategy for re-sequencing in Populus during WP3 and WP4 within EVOLTREE.

Our focus was on which genotypes should be sequenced? What technologies should we use? Do we need to use Illumina golden gate genotyping technologies? Which services should be used for this work? What is the timescale? Can we benefit from experience in the USA?
