EU-COST Action Workshop
From Sunday 04 October 2009
To Monday 05 October 2009

The EU-COST Action workshop on Statistical challenges on 1000€ genome sequences in plants took place in October 2009.

New sequencing technologies will soon enable us to sequence plant genomes for less than 1000 euros. This will accelerate plant genomics and biological research. The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to share and discuss statistical challenges, best-practices and future directions when dealing with large scale genome sequence data in plants. The workshop was a mixture of invited talks and contributed talks and posters and includes invited talks by:

P. Auvinen (University of Helsinki)
J. Cao (Weigel lab, MPI Tübingen)
P. Eilers (Erasmus University, Rotterdam)
R. Guigo (CRG, Barcelona)
H. Himmelbauer (CRG, Barcelona)
D. Marshall (SCRI, Dundee)
J. Rogers (TGAC, Norwich)

Location Barcelona, Spain
