NovelTree Final Conference
From Tuesday 16 October 2012
To Wednesday 17 October 2012

The challenges facing forest geneticists and tree breeders include recognition of changing demands on forests for a wider range of high value forest products and sustainability of forest ecosystems under climate change. NovelTree is an EC funded project designed to better understand the biology of forest tree species and to propose new strategic breeding options thanks to integration of the most recent knowledge on genomic information.

A two-days scientific conference on Tree Breeding, Genomics and Evolutionary Biology was organized in October 2012. This conference provided a platform for scientific discussions of the most recent findings obtained within and outside NovelTree project thanks to invided speaker lectures, a selection of oral presentations and a poster session.
