The workshop on "Realized gains and future prospects in tree breeding and seed deployment" was organised in October 2012. Establishing and facilitating a permanent dialogue with the Forest based sector belongs to the priorities of the NovelTree project. The workshop illustrated to non-specialists the most recent scientific findings related to new developments in tree breeding activities. Emphasis was put on discussion of environmental and economic issues related to development and use of improved forest material.
