Forest Genetics for Productivity Conference

The next generation

Scion is proud to host an IUFRO Division 2 (Physiology and Genetics) conference in 2016 in our home city of Rotorua, New Zealand.

This conference will be sponsored by a number of IUFRO groups:

  • Unit 2.02.20 - Breeding and genetic resources of Southern Pines

  • Unit 2.02.02 - Breeding theory and progeny testing

  • Unit 2.02.05 - Breeding and genetic resources of Pacific Northwest conifers

  • Unit 2.04.06 - Molecular biology of forest trees

Research topics for the conference are:

  • Breeding productive and resilient forests

  • Finding the synergies in genotype, environment and silviculture

  • Genomics and phenomics
