Intensive Study Sites: Travel Grants available
Make the most of a grant to carry out research work on one or more of the EVOLTREE Intensive Study Sites (ISS) established within EVOLTREE.
Activities may include sample collection, monitoring established experiments, setting up new experiments, or other work related to studies on forest ecosystems.
Consult the ISS web page for detailed information about the ISS type and location, the infrastructure, a list of projects so far conducted, a list of permanent tree samples, and the ISS framework agreement with data sharing policies.
How much is the grant?
The sum of 2500 Euros is the maximum amount that you will be reimbursed for your expenses. You will only be reimbursed for the amount you spend on receipt of the originals of your receipts. You will be responsible for covering costs beyond the amount of 2500 Euros.
I'm interested, so how do I apply?
- Fill in the application form ( download)
- Send the application form by email to Stephanie Hayes (stephanie.hayes_at_efi.int)
Applications can be made at any time during the year and will be evaluated by the EVOLTREE Executive Committee, the ISS Coordinator (François Lefèvre) and the relevant local ISS coordinator(s).
Once I have completed the research on the ISS, what will happen then?
When applying for the grant, you will be asked to agree to make data from your work on the site available on one of the EVOLTREE e-Lab data repositories (eLab). We will also request you to provide us with a brief one page "Back-to-office" report once the work has been completed.
