Dear Tree Biotech Community,

At the University of Goettingen we will hopefully soon advertise an open position for a full  Professorship for Forest Genetics (Germany) and our university has asked us to supply a list of potential candidates.

Therefore, I wonder if anybody who might be interested in applying or who knows somebody who is on the search could drop me a line (Andrea Polle, email: apolle_at_gwdg.de). At this stage, just name and university (country). Of course, there is no obligation for any further action later on when the details are known.

The more potential candidates there are, the better it will be, because if there is little interest, we do not know whether the university will continue this important position.  We have already had strong degradation in this area in Germany.

Anybody who wants to know further details is welcome to send me a mail. I will send the full details when the position has been approved, hopefully with the support of this community!

Thanks for your interest and help.

Andrea
