International Conference: IUFRO Genomics and Forest Tree Genetics
(Scientific Events)

From 30/05/2016 to 03/06/2016 | Arcachon, France

This conference will bring together researchers from the four working parties of IUFRO subdivision 2.04.00 (Forest Genetics) to  present and discuss new scientific findings in the area of population, quantitative and evolutionary genetics and how they can be applied in genetic resource conservation and breeding.

Participants will be able to submit contributions from empirical, experimental and theoretical pieces of work, that address key leading scientific and applied issues.

Main topics:

  • Local adaptation and speciation
  • Linking phenotype, genotype and environment
  • Abiotic stress responses and biotic interactions
  • Phylogenetics and genomic evolution
  • Genomics in breeding and conservation
  • Resources, tools and methods

Plus a workshop on genomic selection.
