Attending the EVOLTREE–FORGENIUS conference was an excellent opportunity to share my work and increase my understanding of current research in forest genetics and genomics. Presenting my poster ‘Presence and distribution of the native white oaks (Quercus roburand Q. petraea) in two mixed oak forests in the Northern part of their native range’ and discussing my work with experts in the field was very motivating. Additionally, the connections I made during the conference will be valuable for my future work. I am grateful to the EVOLTREE network for the financial support that made my participation possible and for organizing such an inspiring scientific event.
