The Third EVOLTREE/FORGENIUS Conference took place from November 18–21, 2025, at the CSIC in Madrid, Spain. The program featured five thematic sessions, spanning new tools for translating science into practice, breeding strategies, conservation priorities, and phenotypic responses to global change.
I presented my work “Mapping the Hybrid Zone: Simulations of Hybridization in Heterogeneous Landscapes and its Impact on Genetic Diversity” in Session 5: Prioritizing Forest conservation through genetic diversity.
Attending the EVOLTREE Conference offered me a valuable opportunity to engage with leading researchers in genomics and forest ecosystem adaptation, gain insights into frontier methodologies, and receive feedback to advance my work on hybrid zones and genetic diversity. Beyond presenting my poster, the event excelled in broadening my knowledge of forest genetics and I had opportunity to listen to many inspiring lectures.
I would like to extend sincere thanks to EVOLTREE for supporting my participation in this very inspiring event. It significantly strengthened and deepened my knowledge about advanced phenotyping and genomics in the era of rapid climate change. I consent to publishing this report and accompanying photos on the EVOLTREE website and I want to thank the organizers for managing this unique event.
